ALLIED RACES

Recruit one of the new allied races by earning their respect. Once you have recruited an allied race you will be able to create a prestige character of that race and level through a revamped Azeroth, featuring zones that scale as you gain power. Completing the full leveling experience on your new avatar will earn you a distinctive heritage armour set.

HIGHMOUNTAIN TAUREN

Descended from Huln, brave hero of the War of the Ancients, the Highmountain tauren honor the spirits of earth, river, and sky. Though the Legion invaded their lands and sowed seeds of distrust between them, the tribes of Highmountain stand united once more. At long last they are ready to venture beyond their sacred mountain and stand beside their kin from Kalimdor, lending their nobility and strength to the mighty Horde.

Bull Rush: Charges forward for 1 sec, knocking enemies down for 1.5 sec. 2 min CD.
Mountaineer: Increases Versatility by 1%.
Pride of Ironhorn: Mining skill increased by 15 and allows you to mine faster.

Waste not, want not: You have a chance to loot additional meat and fish.

LIGHTFORGED DRAENEI

For untold millennia, the Army of the Light waged war against the Burning Legion throughout the Twisting Nether. The draenei most committed to their long crusade would undergo a ritual to become Lightforged, infusing their bodies with the very essence of the Holy Light. After finally achieving victory on Argus, the Lightforged draenei have undertaken a new mission: protecting Azeroth from rising threats and helping the Alliance push back against Horde aggression.

Forge of Light:  Summon a Forge of Light, enabling Blacksmithing. Blacksmithing skill increased by 10.
Holy Resistance: Reduces Holy damage taken by 1%.
Light’s Judgement: Call down a strike of Holy energy, dealing Holy damage to enemies within 5 yards after 3 sec. 40 yd. 2.5 min CD. Instant.
Light’s Reckoning:  When you die the Light avenges you, dealing Holy damage to enemies within 8 yards and healing allies.
Demonbane: Experience gained from killing Demons increased by 20%.

Arcane Pulse: Deals (200% Attack Power) Arcane damage to nearby enemies every 2 seconds and snares them by 50%. Lasts 20 sec.

Magical Affinity: Increases magical damage 1%.
Arcane Resistance: Reduces magical damage taken by 1%.

VOID ELVES

Many have sought to harness the corruptive magic of the Void. Most who tried have fallen into madness. Determined to use this power for the good of Azeroth, Alleria Windrunner is the first mortal to succeed at defying the shadow’s whispers. Coming to the aid of a group of her kin who nearly gave in to the darkness, Alleria has vowed to train these Void Elves to control the shadows within them and pledge their newfound powers to the Alliance.

Spatial Rift: Tear a rift in space. Reactivate this ability to teleport through the rift. 30 yd range. 3 min cooldown.
Chill Night: Reduces Shadow damage taken by 1%.
Entropic Embrace: Your abilities have a chance to empower you with the essence of the Void. Entropic embrace increases damage and healing by 5% for 12 sec. It has a 33% proc chance with 60 seconds internal cooldown.
Ethereal connection: Reduces the cost of Void Storage and Transmogrification by 50%
Preternatural Calm: Your spell casts are not delayed by taking damage.

DARK IRON DWARVES

Known for their fiery tempers and fierce determination, Dark Iron dwarves have a turbulent history with the other clans. A failed coup in Ironforge ignited the War of the Three Hammers, and many of the Dark Iron once fought in the service of Ragnaros the Firelord. Though one faction of the dwarves is pledged to Queen-Regent Moira Thaurissan, others refuse to stand alongside their kin. The Alliance seeks a united Dark Iron clan to harness the power of Azerite and aid their struggle against the Horde.

FirebloodRemoves all poison, disease, curse, magic, and bleed effects and increases your primary stat by 100 for each effect removed. Lasts 8 sec. 2 min cooldown.
Forged in Flames:Reduces damage taken from Physical attacks by 1%.
Mass Production:Items crafted by Blacksmithing are created twice as quickly.
Mole Machine:While outdoors, summon a Mole Machine that tunnels through the earth.

SYSTEMS

Island Expeditions

Set sail for the previously unmapped isles of Azeroth. Battle in groups of three as you race against cunning rival intruders or enemy players to collect the island’s resources. Constantly evolving challenges await as you traverse frozen landscapes near Northrend, open the gates of an abandoned Gilnean castle, navigate a war between elementals and more.

You’ll queue for Normal, Heroic, Mythic, or PvP difficulties either alone or with a group by using an Expedition table in Zuldazar Harbor (Horde) or Boralus Harbor (Alliance). Island Expeditions are three-player encounters, and while you can play as any mix of roles, you’ll want to make sure you’re coordinating with the rest of your group to overcome the opposing faction and acquire 6,000 Azerite before they do.

Upon landing on the Island, you’ll disembark from your ship and make your way onto land in search of as much Azerite as you can get your hands on. There are many ways to acquire it, whether it’s by killing monsters, finding treasure chests, defeating the opposing faction’s team, or mining the nodes that will appear around the island.

Warfronts

Head to the frontlines and take part in a large-scale 20-player cooperative Warfront to claim a key strategic location. Build up your faction’s forces, lead the charge as your troops lay siege to the objective, and battle the enemy commanders as they make their last stand in this new PvE mode inspired by classic Warcraft RTS battles.
Once enough resources are collected, your faction will be able to launch a Warfront assault. The team that wins the Warfront will control the assaulted base and have access to special outdoor content, while the losing team focus on collecting resources to launch a Warfront of their own. The team that launches the Warfront assault is always going to win, as to prevent a single faction dominating Warfronts forever. US and EU realms will be on the same Warfront cycle. It is expected that a faction will be able to control a Warfront for about a week before the enemy faction is able to launch an assault of their own. This grants them access to outdoor content in Arathi Highlands like World Bosses and Rare Spawns.

Heart of Azeroth

Take control of the Heart of Azeroth – a legendary neck piece entrusted to you by Magni Bronzebeard. Imbue it with Azerite, an invaluable resource that’s emerged in the Legion’s wake, to customize your armor with new powers and traits.

  • You’ll carry the Heart of Azeroth throughout the entire expansion
  • The Heart of Azeroth is empowered by Azerite and will absord nearby Azerite automatically. No loss of bag space or time spent clicking!
  • Once the Heart of Azeroth absorbs enough Azerite, it can level up. Upon reaching certain levels, it will awaken some latent properties in another piece of gear.

The level of content will determine the amount of rings your gear has. Leveling gear currently has 3 whilst heroic dungeon gear has 4.
