In a recent announcement, Chivalry 2 was given an official release date of June 8th, 2021, almost 9 years after the launch of the original title. The Closed Beta going live from March 26th – 29th. Pre-ordering the game on PC will give you guaranteed access to the Closed Beta.
The standard PC version can be pre-ordered on the Epic Games Store for $39.99/€39.99/£34.99, and The Special Edition for $49.99/€49.99/£44.99. Both editions will give you Closed Beta access, and the Special Edition comes with a set of exclusive in-game items as well as 5000 Gold (in-game currency) and 1000 Crowns (premium currency). More news about console pre-orders is due to come.
A corresponding announcement video was posted on the Torn Banner Youtube channel, with the devs talking about the increased scale of the sequel, with battles now having up to 64 players, with updated combat mechanics and new features such as traps and throwable items.
