Bioware Posts Job Listing For Next Title In “one of BioWare’s most prestigious franchises”

A job listing by Bioware has determined that the developer is working on a new title in one of its existing major franchises. The listing has led to speculation about which franchise the listing may be referring to.

“You will be the most senior engineering lead on the next major title in one of BioWare’s most prestigious franchises, and a contributing leader to the BioWare studio strategy.”

An obvious choice would be the popular Mass Effect series. Although the series took a major hit with the reception Andromeda received upon release, the series is still well-regarded, and a new game is reported to be in the early stages of development. Another possible option is the Dragon Age franchise, which also has a new game confirmed, although this is supposedly a long way off. Anthem would seem an odd choice to refer to as a ‘prestigious franchise’, and Baldur’s Gate III has already been confirmed by Larian Studios. Another possible option is that Bioware are looking to surprise gamers with the announcement of a new KOTOR title, but considering that Dragon Age and Mass Effect already have reports of new titles being in development, these would seem the more obvious choices.
