At X018, among a number of announcements and trailers, Crackdown 3 finally has a release date, and will be debuting on Windows 10 and Xbox One on February 15th 2019. The game will also be available to those with an Xbox Game Pass on the first day of its release. Crackdown 3 has encountered several delays, originally being set for release in 2016, it was pushed back to November 7th 2017. In August of the same year, the title was pushed back to 2018, and in June it was pushed back once again, this time to February 2019.
The X018 demo featured a marketing video with Terry Crews, who plays Commander Jaxon in the new title, and some gameplay footage showing off the new multiplayer gamemode, dubbed Wrecking Zone. Wrecking Zone is a 5v5 match that features destructible environments, allowing players to use their weapons to destroy buildings and pathways all across the map. As an added bonus, players can download the original Crackdown for free until November 30th.
