Crunchyroll is celebrating the start of Virtual Crunchyroll Expo today by teaming up with Xbox to offer anime watchers/gamers three months of Xbox Game Pass for PC, but only to new and current subscribers to their Crunchyroll Premium program. The trial will be happening worldwide for everyone outside of Asia.
Including access to Crunchyroll’s vast library of anime titles, Premium members will of course receive Xbox Game Pass perks such as access to 100 PC games, an EA Play membership, and access to new Xbox Game Studios releases. Currently, Crunchyroll Premium offers anime fans day and date access to the newest titles when they release in Japan, alongside a host of other additional benefits. Together, gamers are receiving thousands of hours of anime and gaming leading to one of the best partnerships in gaming deals in a while.
The website currently plays host to more than 5 million subscribers and over 120 million users with more joining each and every day. The streaming service’s huge swath of content includes a library of over 1,000 titles and a cumulative total of 30,000 episodes; other amenities include Crunchyroll Games, e-commerce, consumer products, live and virtual events, and more.
The partnership kicks off the start of Virtual Crunchyroll Expo, a 3-day event that brings together the global anime community to celebrate all things Japanese animation. It will be streaming for free from August 5th-7th.
