After no word of anything at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), it has been announced that the newest entry in the well loved Tales of series is on the way, following a reveal at the Tales of Festival 2018. According to Gematsu this new release will not be a remaster or a spin-off from a previous title, but rather something an entirely fresh entry into the sagas. There hasn’t been a release for the series since Tales of Berseria came out in 2016 and, with little news to assuage their fears, fans had become concerned at its fate.
At the moment this news is entirely devoid of detail, without so much as a name to keep everyone going, but Bandai Namco have said that more information will be released at an event to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the release of Tales of Vesperia. This event is going down at the Maihama Amphitheatre in the Tokyo Disney Resort on September 16th, and promises to feature the cast of the game as well as other nostalgic extras.
