OVERVIEW
From the much loved and highly regarded creators of the Dark Souls series comes an all new action-adventure, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Set in 1500s Sengoku Japan, you play as the “one-armed wolf”, a disgraced and disfigured warrior rescued from the brink of death. Bound to protect a young lord who is the descendant of an ancient bloodline, you become the target of many vicious enemies, including the dangerous Ashina clan. When the young lord is captured, nothing will stop you on a perilous quest to regain your honor, not even death itself.
GAMEPLAY
Sekiro is an action-adventure game played from the third-person view. Unlike other FromSoftware games there will be no role-playing elements such as character creation or classes. The game is also purely single-player due to the fact that the team wanted to avoid any of the limiting factors that come with multiplayer. In Sekiro there are no health points, instead you look to attack the poise and balance of your enemies to eventually bring them down with one brutally efficient killing blow. The game draws inspiration from the great Tenchu and therefore features elements of stealth, if you can get within range undetected you will will be able to eliminate enemies immediately. If you find yourself at the mercy of another man’s blade and death bids you hello you will respawn on the spot, with various limitations instead of returning to a previous checkpoint.
