CD Projekt Red has announced that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be receiving a next generation update which will release as a standalone purchase for Xbox Series X, PS5 and PC. Those who already own the game on PC, PS4 or Xbox One will receive a free update containing the changes.
“Developed to take advantage of the most powerful gaming hardware, the next-gen edition of the game will feature a range of visual and technical improvements — including ray tracing and faster loading times — across the base game, both expansions, and all extra content.”
There is no set release date for the next gen version of the game, but it will arrive in 2021.
